TO HONOR BREASTS

I found this cool sweatshirt. I'm gonna get one for the next 5K breast cancer run. Actually we end up walking as much as we run. It's for a good cause and I love thinking of myself as a "Knocker Walker".

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, October 31, 2009

At one point or another in my life these pictures have been very scary to me. Yeah, I know the artichoke heart with claws which is not the actual monster from the movie but a fair representation, (Zontar, Thing from Venus), doesn't seem too frightening but as a kid it was EE-PEE-CRAY. Happy Halloween to you all, and don't eat too much candy or you'll get a visit from the "Cavity Creeps.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Thursday, October 22, 2009

In "Mere Christianity," C.S. Lewis describes meeting a humble person. "Do not imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call humble nowadays; he will not be a sort of greasy, smarmy person, who is always telling you that, of course, he is a nobody. Probably all you will think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him. If you dislike him it will be because you feel a little envious of anyone who seems to enjoy life so easily. He will not be thinking about humility: he will not be thinking about himself at all."

DEATH OF A DRUMMER

Today marks the 29th anniversery of the death of John Bonham. The man who brought the power triplet and maniac slam bashing to Rock-N-Roll lovers around the world. He used the longest and thickest drum sticks available, he refered to them as his "Trees". He drank himself to death one night with enough booze to stun 3 rhinos. John Bonham, dead and gone, but his musical contribution livez on. Rock-N-Roll is here to stay.
